BMW Road Map ROUTE Update
Updated navigation map data for compatible BMW and MINI vehicles whose
current navigation version displays
Road Map [Region] ROUTE.
After purchase, we will provide a temporary download link
containing the selected ROUTE map package. No physical USB drive or postal
delivery is included.
Before ordering
- Open the Navigation menu.
- Press the OPTION button on the iDrive controller.

Select Navigation system version or
Version information. - Confirm that the displayed map name contains ROUTE.
- Check the currently activated navigation region.
- Select Europe East, Europe West or another available regional package.
Examples:
Road Map Europe East ROUTE 20XX or
Road Map Europe West ROUTE 20XX.
Do not order this product if the displayed map type is PREMIUM, NEXT, MOVE,
MOTION, EVO, WAY, LIVE or JOY.

The ROUTE FSC activation code is not included and must be purchased
separately when required by the vehicle.
Installation instructions
- Download all files using the temporary link supplied after purchase.
- Extract the complete ROUTE navigation map archive on your computer.

Copy all files and folders from inside the extracted map package
directly to the root of a compatible USB flash drive. -
Do not place the map files inside an additional folder unless the
supplied package instructions explicitly require it. - Connect the prepared USB flash drive to the vehicle.
- Wait until the navigation system detects the map update.
- Confirm the update on the vehicle display.
- Enter a valid ROUTE FSC activation code when requested.

Keep the USB flash drive connected until the installation has been
completed.
FSC activation
This map package does not include an FSC activation code.
Recommended product:
BMW FSC Code for ROUTE Navigation Map Update.
The FSC code must match the vehicle, ROUTE map generation and currently
activated navigation region.
Europe East and Europe West
Europe East and Europe West are separate ROUTE map packages. Only one
package is installed at a time.
Select Europe West for detailed coverage of Western Europe or Europe East
for detailed coverage of Central and Eastern Europe.
Switching between Europe East and Europe West normally remains within the
European ROUTE map family. Compatibility with the existing FSC activation
must still be checked before installation.
Region change
Changing from Europe to North America, Middle East, Southeast Asia,
Australia / New Zealand or another global navigation region is not a
standard map update.
If the required region differs from the region currently activated in the
vehicle, purchase the separate FSC Region Change service
before starting the update.
Important compatibility notice
This product is intended only for compatible EntryNav / HU-B navigation
systems displaying Road Map [Region] ROUTE.
Vehicles displaying Road Map WAY use the later EntryNav2 /
EntryEvo system and require the separate WAY Map Update product.
Vehicle model, chassis and production year alone are not sufficient to
confirm compatibility.
