only the Feature Installer activation procedure is normally required.

• Used after MGU replacement, repair, programming or software intervention
• Helps restore missing, rejected or invalid factory FSC certificates

The customer receives the FSC file package for self-installation.

Road Map JOY.

• Map files delivered through a temporary download link
• Available for multiple navigation regions
• Installation from a compatible USB flash drive
• FSC activation code is not included

Required: Confirm that the current navigation version
displayed in the vehicle contains JOY.

Region notice: A normal map update must use the same region
that is currently activated in the vehicle. Changing to another region
requires a separate FSC Region Change service.

Vehicle-specific Lifetime FSC activation code for navigation map updates on compatible BMW vehicles using Road Map JOY.

• Prepared for the submitted VIN and supported map region
• Intended for future JOY map updates on the same vehicle
