BMW EVO ID4 Map FSC Activation Code
Vehicle-specific FSC activation code for updating compatible BMW and MINI
navigation systems using Road Map EVO with an
NBT EVO ID4 head unit.
This product includes the FSC activation code only. Navigation map files are
not included and must be obtained separately.
Before ordering
Check the navigation map version currently installed in the vehicle:
- Open the Navigation menu.
- Press the OPTION button on the iDrive controller.
- Select Navigation system version or Version information.
- Confirm that the displayed map name contains EVO.
- Confirm that the installed head unit uses the ID4 interface.
Example:
Road Map Europe EVO 2025-2
The map name EVO is also used by NBT EVO ID5 and ID6 systems.
The map version alone is therefore not sufficient to identify the correct
FSC product.
Do not order this product for NBT EVO ID5/6, NBT with NEXT maps, EntryNav2
with WAY maps or MGU with LIVE maps.
Information required
- Last 7 characters of the VIN
- Required navigation map region
- FSC type: One Time or Lifetime
- Confirmation that the installed system is NBT EVO ID4
FSC options
- One Time: valid for one selected EVO navigation map release.

Lifetime: intended for future EVO map updates for the
same vehicle and supported region.
How to enter the FSC activation code
- Prepare the correct EVO map update USB drive.
- Connect the USB drive to the vehicle.
- Start the navigation map update.
- When requested, enter the supplied FSC code using the iDrive controller.
- Confirm the code and continue the navigation map installation.
- Leave the USB drive connected until the update is completed.
The FSC activation code contains 20 characters and uses only capital letters
A–Z and digits 2–7.
The digits 0 and 1 are not used to avoid
confusion with the letters O and I.
Use the 1@+ character selector in iDrive to switch between
letters and numbers while entering the activation code.
Important compatibility notice
This product is intended only for vehicles equipped with an
NBT EVO ID4 head unit. It is not suitable for NBT EVO ID5
or ID6, even though those systems also use Road Map EVO.
The chassis list in the Specifications section is provided as a general
reference only. Compatibility must be confirmed using the installed head
unit, iDrive generation, map version, software level and VIN.
The FSC code is generated for the submitted VIN and cannot be used in
another vehicle.
