BMW ROUTE Map FSC Activation Code

Vehicle-specific FSC activation code for updating compatible BMW and MINI
navigation systems using Road Map ROUTE.

This product includes the FSC activation code only. Navigation map files are
not included and must be obtained separately.

Before ordering

Check the navigation map version currently installed in the vehicle:

  1. Open the Navigation menu.
  2. Press the OPTION button on the iDrive controller.
  3. Select Navigation system version or Version information.
  4. Confirm that the displayed map name contains ROUTE.

Example:
Road Map Europe ROUTE 2025

Do not order this product if the displayed map type is PREMIUM, NEXT, MOVE,
MOTION, EVO, WAY or LIVE.

Information required

  • Last 7 characters of the VIN
  • Required navigation map region
  • FSC type: One Time or Lifetime

FSC options

  • One Time: valid for one selected ROUTE navigation map release.
  • Lifetime: intended for future ROUTE map updates for the
    same vehicle and supported region.

How to enter the FSC activation code

  1. Prepare the correct ROUTE navigation map update USB drive.
  2. Connect the USB drive to the vehicle.
  3. Start the navigation map update.
  4. When requested, enter the supplied FSC code using the iDrive controller.
  5. Confirm the code and continue the navigation map installation.
  6. Leave the USB drive connected until the update is completed.

The FSC activation code contains 20 characters and uses only capital letters
A–Z and digits 2–7.

The digits 0 and 1 are not used to avoid
confusion with the letters O and I.

Use the 1@+ character selector in iDrive to switch between
letters and numbers while entering the code.

Important compatibility notice

ROUTE maps are intended for selected BMW and MINI vehicles equipped with
the EntryNav / HU-B navigation system.

The chassis list in the Specifications section is provided as a general
reference only. Compatibility must be confirmed by checking that the
navigation version displayed in the vehicle contains the word
ROUTE.

A ROUTE FSC code cannot activate NEXT, EVO or WAY navigation maps.
The FSC code is generated for the submitted VIN and cannot be used in
another vehicle.

Vehicle model, chassis and production date alone are not sufficient to confirm compatibility because different navigation systems may have been installed within the same model range.

If the navigation version contains WAY, the vehicle uses a different map generation and requires the WAY FSC product.
