KAFAS4 13F FSC – Frontal Collision Warning
The 13F FSC is a vehicle-specific activation certificate
for the Frontal Collision Warning function in compatible
BMW and MINI vehicles equipped with the KAFAS4 camera system.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, software level and market configuration,
the system can monitor traffic ahead and warn the driver when a potential
frontal collision is detected.
Available visual, acoustic and braking-support functions may differ between
vehicles. Purchase of the FSC does not add hardware or functions unsupported
by the installed vehicle configuration.
What is included
- Vehicle-specific 13F FSC activation file
- FSC generated for the submitted 17-character VIN
- Digital delivery
Not included
- Importing the FSC file into the vehicle

Compatibility requirements
The vehicle must have compatible KAFAS4 hardware, suitable software and all
equipment required for Frontal Collision Warning.
Compatibility cannot be confirmed only by vehicle model, chassis,
production year or the presence of a front camera. The actual vehicle
configuration must be checked before ordering.
VIN verification
Enter the complete and correct 17-character VIN when
placing the order. The FSC is generated specifically for the submitted VIN
and cannot be used in another vehicle.
Once FSC processing has started, cancellation, correction, replacement
or reissue for another VIN is not possible.
Installation
After delivery, the FSC file must be imported into the vehicle and the
required control units must be coded using suitable BMW diagnostic and
coding software.
FSC import, coding, programming and calibration are separate services and
are not included in the product price.
Important safety notice
Frontal Collision Warning is a driver-assistance function. Detection and
warning availability can be affected by traffic conditions, weather,
visibility, camera obstruction, vehicle software and regional limitations.
The system cannot prevent every collision. The driver remains responsible
for observing traffic, maintaining a safe distance and taking appropriate
action.
