KAFAS4 11F FSC – Speed Limit Information
The 11F FSC is a vehicle-specific activation certificate
for the Speed Limit Information function in compatible
BMW and MINI vehicles equipped with the KAFAS4 camera system.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, software level and market configuration,
Speed Limit Information can process recognised road signs together with
available navigation and vehicle data and display the detected speed limit
to the driver.
What is included
- Vehicle-specific 11F FSC activation file
- FSC generated for the submitted 17-character VIN
- Digital delivery
Not included
- Importing the FSC file into the vehicle
- Vehicle coding or programming
- Remote installation or diagnostic session
- Hardware installation, replacement or retrofit
Compatibility requirements
The vehicle must have compatible KAFAS4 hardware, suitable software and all
equipment required for Speed Limit Information.
The presence of a front camera, a specific vehicle model or a production
year alone does not confirm compatibility. The actual vehicle configuration
must be checked before ordering.
VIN verification
Enter the complete and correct 17-character VIN when
placing the order. The FSC file is generated specifically for this VIN and
cannot be used in another vehicle.
Once FSC processing has started, the order cannot be cancelled and
the FSC cannot be exchanged, corrected or reissued for another VIN.
Installation
After delivery, the FSC file must be imported into the vehicle and the
required control units must be coded using suitable BMW diagnostic and
coding software.
FSC import, coding and programming are separate services and are not
included in the product price.
Important safety notice
Speed Limit Information is a driver-assistance function. Displayed
information may be incomplete, delayed or incorrect because of road
conditions, obscured signs, temporary restrictions, camera visibility,
navigation data or regional limitations.
The driver remains responsible for observing actual road signs, selecting
an appropriate speed and complying with local traffic regulations.
