BMW NCD 3.0 Secure Coding Files
This service provides vehicle-specific NCD 3.0 files for supported BMW Group
control units using the latest generation of Secure Coding.
The files are prepared using the vehicle’s current FA and SVT data. This
product includes file preparation only and does not include remote access,
coding, flashing or vehicle programming.
Required files
- FA XML file containing the required vehicle configuration
- SVT XML file read from the same vehicle
- Short description of the required coding or retrofit task
The FA and SVT files must represent the same vehicle and current software
configuration. Outdated, modified or mismatched data may prevent valid files
from being prepared.
What you will receive
You will receive a ZIP archive containing the available NCD 3.0 files,
organised by supported control unit.
Only compatible ECU and CAFD entries will be included. The presence of a
control unit in the SVT does not automatically mean that an NCD 3.0 file can
be generated for it.
How the service works
- Read and save the FA and SVT XML files from the vehicle.
- Upload both files and describe the required configuration.
- The submitted ECU and software data are reviewed.
- Supported NCD 3.0 files are prepared and delivered in a ZIP archive.
Important notice
The generated files correspond to the exact FA, SVT, ECU and software data
submitted with the order. If the vehicle software or ECU configuration is
changed, a new set of files may be required.
Applying the files requires suitable BMW coding software, a compatible
vehicle interface and appropriate technical knowledge.
